I actually finished off the sniper squad today, so there’s 5 of those bad boys and the last two bikers are built and prepped for painting.

How I used to paint (when I was 11 or 12) VS. How I paint now…. (25)

(EDIT: TBH I actually love the paint scheme of the old one ahahaha, and this makes it very clear I have ZERO taste in colour schemes throughout my whole life ahahaha)

Scout Sgt. Flower Orpington-Smithe, standing up high so the enemy will hear his cry of YOLO as he commands his squad to snipe the living poop out of them… REND…REND REND….

That said, mega quick paint job…. pictures are crap. Sorry, I also finished off another sniper, and got another one set up on the paint rig, a metal one I bought off of ebay, 4 scouts and I literally only really wanted one of them ahhaha. But the classic metal ones, so it will at least make them all look kind of different. Also… I really want bigger cork bits so I don’t have to use the stones from my flats driveway… they already think I’m odd I don’t need to appear like some stone loving weirdo as well.

Happy hobby people!

EDIT: LOL city camo with desert base! I don’t know what I’m thinking…. just trying to rapidly get this kill team done before I go to Berlin!

My first two Space Marine Scout Bikers for my Kill Team

(noticed I’ve missed a few things on one so will finish those… dumbass that I am)

Custom chapter was going to be called “God Hunters” and be an Imperial Truth based chapter. But I’ve named them something much sillier that I’m not going to post publicly ahaha (ok Swag Marines, in an “ironic” (soooo hipster) way. And in typical SWAG way I’ve actually named each character the most boring names I can think of like Brian Smith and Graham Jones, the Scout Sgt is called SGT. Flower Orpington-Smithe).

Anyways it’s super fun making a kill team although I HATE the scout kits (the bikers are a good kit but the freaking scout kits are so fiddly).

Kill Team Advice

So I want to take a kill team to the next 40k kill team game, and I’m currently thinking of a WW1 trench warfare themed scout squad…

So composition would be (powers not assigned)

4 Scouts w/ snipers + camo cloaks

1 Sgt Telion

1 Landspeeder w/ 2 x Heavy Bolter (also thought about a Multi Melta/ Hvy Bolter combo or a heavy flamer)

Is this killy enough, or would I need more bodies on the table, tbh I want something where I’m not spending even MORE to get up and going (as i’m still building and painting Killa Kans and slowly building up my Space Wolves)

Reckon that’d be a good kill team?

EDIT: Will be certainly facing Orks, Dark Angels and Eldar

EDIT 2: I’ve adjusted the list to be more like

4 Scouts w/ snipers + camo cloaks + 1 Sgt w/ Sniper

3 Scout bikes w/ 2x Astartes Grenade Launchers, 1 Scout Biker Sgt

So today I bought some Plague Marines to break the monotony of painting my Space Wolves…. I painted this bad boy up in no time at all…. great fun thing to paint, make them look disgusting was what I was told…. I think I achieved that.

My Rune Priest in Terminator Armour

Should of really gotten rid of all the finecast flash, but other than that pretty happy with this one!

Imperial Guard: The Hammer of the Emperor

The every day man that stands against the horrors of the universe. No super armor, no super guns n gear. Just a man with average gear and training doing his best to hold the line

Model painters hand…. It’s never pretty, and this is sure as hell not professional but I consider the back of my hand to always have to contain the same amount of paint as the model. Also for some reason colours I haven’t even used…. I consider this my work of art for the night :D

Another finished Blood Claw. It’s super fun to be painting again and I will hopefully have all this army up to tabletop standard by the time I game again…. and hopefully with the backing of the Sons Of Russ I will finally win some games ahahha.

And it may look a bit rushed! But there’s a reason, I decided this month I’m going to get the rest of the models I have painted up (totally not so I can buy more… and MORE!!!!)

It was super nice to sit down and paint again after a bit of a break, setting myself a semi-restricted time-limit on each model, touch ups can be done after the main bulk are up to tabletop standard.
